Abby Lee Miller, from the hit TV show "Dance Moms", came to Charlotte to do a meet and greet and teach a master class to a ballroom full of dance students from all over the Southeast. Three students from CPAA went to the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel on Sunday, September 29th to meet and take class from Abby Lee Miller - Hailey, Taylor and Zoe. Not only did they get to meet Abby Lee, they also met Maddie and Mackenzie from "Dance Moms" too!

Abby Lee has a hit TV Show on Lifetime, "Dance Moms" about her studio in Pittsburgh, PA and the dancers and their moms. Although our dance moms at CPAA don't act like hers (and Troy and I act nothing like Abby Lee), many of our students watch the show and admire the dancing and level of the talent on the show. So, you can imagine how excited they were to take class with Abby.

Abby taught a part of a dance that was featured on the TV show. She also did a mock audition to teach the girls about showbiz. She gave them helpful hints of what to do and what not to do at an audition.

700 Dancers attend the Class

About 700 students were registered for the event. In the end, she picked 8 students to receive a full scholarship to her "Bootie Camp" at her studio in Pittsburgh. Zoe was one of those 8 students. CONGRATULATIONS Zoe! We're so proud of you!
